The Virgo Totem is a one-of-a-kind illuminated sculpture by Marin Pura, inspired by the profound connection between humanity and the natural world.

Neither entirely human nor entirely of the natural world, this ancient archetypal form emerges through a meeting of organic textures, botanical elements and sculptural expression. Clay, abaca fiber, leaf skeletons, papier-mâché, preserved moss, lichens, wood fungi and dried plants come together to create a unique art object that feels both primordial and alive.

At its heart, the Virgo Totem explores harmony between seemingly different forms of existence — the human and the natural, the tangible and the symbolic. Its sculptural presence invites us to reconsider our place within the living world, not as something separate from nature, but as an inseparable part of it.

When illuminated, the warm amber LED light reveals the intricate textures and delicate details of the materials, transforming the sculpture into an atmospheric focal point. More than a decorative lamp, it is an expression of the quiet dialogue between light, matter and life.
